It has been a while since we showed any recent bridal fashion collections. The Blender’s Pride Bangalore Fashion Week showed some fabulous bridal wear from designers like Ritu Kumar, Shweta Bhargava, Arman, Sayantan Sarkar, Rina Dhaka etc.
The 8th edition of this show was scheduled between January 25th to 28th with an objective of facilitating a dialog between trade buyers and designers. Indian designers also played tribute to our national heritage by depicting tri colors of the National flag in their creations. Bengaluru designer, Umesh Joshi showed his creations for the very first time on Republic Day.
Designer Archana Kocchar termed her bridal collection as ‘Bridal Sutra’ while designer Vandana Raj called hers as Kadambari , the cutwork embroidery of which greatly enhanced the ethnic glory.
Kolkata based designer Ambarish Damani used a ‘Sufi’ touch in his collections aptly termed as Umraoo Jaan and Jashn-e-Bahaar. He typically made use of greens, whites and saffron of the Indian National flag and used only natural silks and cottons in this creation.
