We were a bit disappointed to have missed not one but 2 of the latest fashions shows and bridal fairs…but worry not! Better late than never – Presenting the best bridal ensembles from the latest fashion shows and wedding fairs held in 2015 –we guarantee that some of these collections will make you go weak in the knees.
First up we have the Renaissance Wedding Fair 2015 held in Mumbai. The pretty pastels, beige, aquas and pinks as well as the Mughal inspired accessories were simply stunning, for want of better words. Bollywood’s top designer Vikram Phadnis showcased Anarkalis, Saris, Lacchas and Lehengas on this occasion. Gold and beige were the predominant colours used in this collection and Kamarpattas along with other ethnic Mughal inspired jewellery were the highlights of the day.
Next up we have the 2015 India Fashion week held in New Delhi-which happens to have a new sponsor by the way-Amazon.in As many as 25 of the top Indian designers showed their magnificent creations on this occasion including Padmashree awardees Ritu Kumar and Wendell Rodericks. Sabyasachi’s utterly gorgeous Lehengas were showcased by the Queen of the ramp of the 90’s, Nyonika Chatterjee . JJ Vallya’s and Ritu Kumaar’s creations were awe-inspiring and definitely not to be missed by brides.
Other mention-worthy creations on this occasion include the collection by ace designer Payal Singhal. Spring 2015 brides will love the use of pastel hues as well as her unique silhouettes. Payal’s mid-riff bearing lehenga cholis and illusion necklines are sure to be a hit with our to-be-brides looking to create a stir at their wedding. This collection definitely gets a 10 on 10 in our books!
