The event was graced by 17 world class speakers & steering committee members. The speakers were well-accomplished pundits in the domestic & international wedding planning industry with almost everyone possessing an experience of more than 10 years and have carried out high-profile extravagant weddings & destination weddings. With a rich assortment of speakers, the 4th edition threw light at the growing trend of aspirational weddings, destination weddings, pricing strategies for wedding planners, the impact of social media on wedding promotions and much more.

The Venue and events

The conference kicked off in La-Brise by Novotel Goa Resort & Spa with a sunset beach party where all the attendees adhered to the “All White Outfit” theme. Day 1 unfolded with the party followed by Day 2, where it started with the welcome address followed by keynote address by Harmony Walton from USA on “Technology tools that make a big impact on your wedding business” and a case study on a “Cruise Wedding” by Bhavnesh Sawhney from India, to follow up with the “Speed Networking & Business Meetings” and panel discussion on Aspirational Weddings comprising some of the big names like Sumant Jayakrishnan, Matthew Oliver, Harmony Walton and more. The Networking Luncheon succeeded the panel discussion, followed by an activity and a panel discussion on “World Trotter: Planner’s guide to Destination Weddings, presentation by Matthew Oliver from the UK on “Avoiding Bad Vendors” and Anna Maria from Greece highlighting the reception of Greece to Indian Weddings. For the first time, EWPC launched the wedding planner awards which aims to acknowledge the outstanding work of wedding planners over the course of last twelve months.

The conference witnessed many young and impressive talents from the wedding planning fraternity aspiring to take this industry to greater heights in years to come along with the accomplishment of new business relationships between the wedding planners and the vendors for undertaking the marriages lined up for the season ahead.
