Ethereal, romantic and oh-so-sweet; this photoshoot is packed with stunning details and tons of inspiration. Groom Manan has also sent us some romantic details of how he wooed his stunning bride. Bride and Groom: Manisha Jani & Manan Vaidya.
How we met: (From Manan) I first saw Manisha in Partner’s Search Sammelan at Borivali (W)but we never interacted. Yet, I remember the way she looked that day: she was wearing a red kurti with a white jacket having flowers on it. I was unaware that her parents had spoken with mine regarding a possible match. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised and happy to meet her at my place so we would get to know each other better. Since this was to be an arranged marriage, we naturally wanted to get to know each other better before a formal marriage proposal. So we met again at McDonald’s in Andheri West.
This was our first “unofficial” meeting in order to know each other’s preferences, likes dislikes, and pretty much everything ‘life partners’ ought to know. To be honest, I liked her instantly, but it seems she had a different view . She texted me saying that she felt she wasn’t the right partner for me and wished me the best. I felt sad, but accepted the rejection as a part of life. Still, we remained friends and kept texting each other. I was not keen to just be friends as I definitely wanted more. I felt it was not right from my end keeping in mind my feelings I had for her at the time. Then one day, she asked me to go out with her for a movie – Tanu Weds Manu Returns- and I happily said yes. I had not seen the prequel of that movie and had to download it; I wanted to make sure I knew what the movie was all about in case she asked me a question (smart huh?!). We had fun that day and started interacting even more from then on. I remember the date (14th August 2015) when she said YES to me. I was feeling on top of the world!
Wedding Date: It was in a totally Bollywood style that we had to convince our parents for the marriage. And finally the D-Day (1st February 2016) was planned as the Wedding date.
Our Photographer: Everyone wants their wedding to be a great one and everyone should get a wedding they want. So we started planning our wedding meticulously. Manisha was very keen on getting a pre-wedding photoshoot and I agreed. Believe me: we had an amazing time thanks to Pravin Dabhade. Pravin is highly experienced and had a varieties of poses for us. He also chose beautiful locations for the shoot. Trust me: the entire day went by and still we were not tired. It was so much fun-not just the photoshoot, but getting to know your partner and your photographer better. It was quality time indeed, though I know Pravin had done a lot of planning in the background. Naturally, we also engaged Pravin to click our Engagement Ceremony and Wedding photos.
Wedding venue: We chose the Patel Samaj Hall (Jogeshwari) since it was close to both our homes.
My advice to bride/groom…Be honest and accept your partner the way s/he may be. Take the time to get to know each other well especially in case of arranged marriage. Finally remember: Marriages may be made in heaven but soulmates are born on Earth! Good luck!
