He has captured the Big Day of hundreds of couples. Now, he himself has tied the knot! At weddingsonline, it makes us so happy when one of our own is getting hitched. This time, it is Aniket Kanade, ace wedding photographer and his childhood sweetheart Snehal sharing the details of their sweet traditional ceremony which took place last month. Snehal has given us an insight into how they planned the day and Aniket tells us that he was more than willing to be on the other side of the camera for a change. 🙂
Bride & Groom: Snehal Bhor & Aniket Kanade

We met… – We were living in the same residential area so we were friends since the past 5 years.
Our proposal… – It was very sweet and quite surprising. He proposed to me in a restaurant with a complete
flash mob dance. I was really impressed!
Our wedding theme/colors... -There were no specific colours. Maharashtrian wedding needs brides to wear yellow for some rituals. Apart from that I chose several different colours like green, purple, red etc.
My dress... – I wore traditional Maharshtrian Saris for every function like Kumkum, Haldi & the Mangalashtka ceremony.
My hair and make up... – My hair & makeup stylist was Mrs. Aparna from Pune.
His suit… He wore Jodhpuri for Kumkum & a designer Sherwani for Mangalashtka ceremony.
What our bridal party wore… – All ladies wore festive five yard or nine yard (nauvari) marathi wedding saris while the men wore sherwanis, kurtas etc.
We chose our photographer because… – We liked
Richa Kashelkar’s work. Aniket also knew her professionally.
Our menu... It was a traditional Maharshtrian fare with a few North Indian dishes. Aloo-puri, paneer, papads, pickles, mung-daal sheera (a sweet dish) and Gulab jamuns.
Our honeymoon… We went to Kerala.
My favourite part of the wedding day.. – Each and every moment! We will cherish it for years!
My piece of advice for other brides.. – Enjoy every moment of your wedding because it just goes by so quickly! Leave everything to the professionals. It is your day and the last thing you want is yourself or your mum and dad stressing about things!
