Celebrity weddings are grand affairs that leave us dazzled. Many models as well as TV and film actors tied the knot last year. Here are five grand celebrations that inspired and awed us…
1) Udita Goswami & Mohit Suri
This was one of the first celeb weddings of 2013. The star couple tied the knot in a traditional Punjabi ceremony on January 29th. For the wedding, Udita chose a traditional red lehenga. Later, she was seen in a hot pink Sharara, and for the Reception, she chose a dark blue sari with a contrasting blouse and large Maang teeka.
2) Shonali Nagrani & Shiraz Bhattacharya
IPL host Shonali tied the knot in Kerala with her long-time beau cinematographer Shiraz Bhattacharya. For the wedding, Shonali chose a light colored lehenga with heavy jewellery and flowers. The Mehendi ceremony was a grand affair where Shonali selected a colourful green-orange-yellow ensemble by Manali Jagtap.
3) Anchal Kumar & Anupam Mittal
Model Anchal Kumar has walked the ramp in gorgeous bridal wear for many designers, but she chose a Manish Malhotra ensemble for her D-day when she married Shaadi.com CEO Anupam Mittal at the Fairmont, Jaipur in July 2013. The grand affair consisted of a Sehra, Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony. Naturally the guest list included the who’s-who of the fashion industry. The Reception was held in Anchal’s hometown of Chandigarh.
4) Sayali Bhagat & Naveen Pratap Singh
Ex-Miss India Sayali married Delhi based businessman Naveen in a glitzy Gujrathi wedding ceremony in December 2013. For the D-day, Sayali chose a Tarun Tahiliani creation in traditional Indian wedding colours. The reception was held in Delhi at the A La Grande.
5) Diana Hayden & Collin Dick
Ex-Miss World Diana Hayden tied the knot with Collin Dick at Las Vegas. The Hyderbadi lass chose a stunning studded gown designed by her designer friend Archana Kochar. With the groomsmen and bridesmaids’ dresses in subtle tones of lavender and gray, this ceremony was nothing short of a fairytale!
