Your partner needs equal attention as that of a deadline. Now the important question is how to achieve this delicate yet very necessary balance in this ‘get it all’ world? We have 5 tips to maintain work life balance:

Work Life Balance

Dedicate specific time for family

While filling calendars entries, we almost never dedicate exclusive time for family. Schedule it in your calendar and act on it. It does not have to be something eventful. Just watch a movie on your home theatre, take a long drive together, sit together and talk.

Learn to say no

It is often more difficult to say no than yes. Learn this delicate art. It will save you lots of time. You can say no to a group activity in the office. You can always skip an official party or two. This gives you more time with your loved ones and takes your mind off work and the related stress.

Work Life Balance

Leave office early

Strictly try and leave office earlier than usual, at least once every week. You will find this change very refreshing and your partner will be thrilled. Even if your partner is away at work, it will give you time for yourself. Do something creative in this time. Try something new.

Prepare for the week ahead

In terms of some chores, make sure both of you share them equally. That does not mean no slack is allowed to any partner, but this helps you relax as you know what your partner is responsible for. Neither of you has to worry about those particular chores and it brings peace and harmony in domestic life.

Work Life Balance

Dedicate yourself to one task

Do not try to be at more than one place at a time. Although it may be called efficiency, it often breeds contempt in the minds of near and dear ones. Checking your official mails while on holiday is the worst possible way to spoil the spirit and intention of the holiday. If you have to, do it at the beginning or end of the day, so as to not disturb the rest of the day.
