Beauty Tips For Valentine’s Day That You’ll Love

By  |

Valentine’s Day is here, and we’re pretty sure you’ve already picked out a sexy LBD or an eye-catching dress that highlights your curves beautifully. Or maybe your idea of ‘hot’ is pulling on a pair of distressed jeans and pairing it with a favourite top. Whatever your taste in fashion, let’s not forget that looking good on Valentine’s Day also has plenty to do with the way you look after your skin. So, here are our top beauty tips for Valentine’s Day:

Let Your Eyes Speak

Irrespective of whether you’ve always had gorgeous doe like eyes or not, eye makeup is for everyone. It just depends upon how you wear it and the colours you choose to highlight them. If going for loud shades isn’t your thing, then we suggest sticking to the basics. A smooth black kajal stick never fails and works well in opening up your eyes. Plus, do not forget the mascara. First curl your lashes slightly and apply a minimum of two or more coats to our lashes so that they really stand out. Use a mascara brush to comb your lashes so that they don’t end up clumping together.

For Irresistible Lips

We ponder for hours on the right lipstick shade to wear but the lips are also the most neglected part of the face. How many times have you actually exfoliated your lips? Yup, we thought so! Your lips also tend to go dry and little piles of dead skin do collect on them, robbing your puckers of their natural glow. The best exfoliant can be found in your kitchen- sugar. Just make a coarse paste of sugar and honey and then apply it to your lips and gently rub the mix in circular motions. When you’re getting ready for your date, apply some balm which contains petroleum jelly or shea butter before putting on your lippie.

Put Some Glow On

For truly healthy skin, you need to treat it to regular exfoliating and apply a face mask every now and then, keeping your skin type in mind. We suggest using a facewash that is mild so that it doesn’t strip your skin of its natural moisture and end up leaving it dry and rough to the touch. If you aren’t into using face packs and face masks, then simply apply a slather of fresh aloe vera gel to your face. It works wonders in eliminating acne problems and also helps to lighten acne scars. Which is why this is one of our favourite beauty tips for Valentine’s Day!  A barely made up nude look with hints of shimmer looks gorgeous on all skin tones and lets you glow naturally.

Manicured finger nails. A pop of nail polish. What’s not to like about pampering your digits every now and then? Besides a regular manicure and pedicure, we also suggest applying a good moisturising lotion regularly, so that your hands stay smooth and soft round the clock. If applying a regular coat of paint seems just too mundane to you, then check out some awesome ideas on nail art trends which are taking the world by storm now.
