We Met

We are college sweethearts who have been in love for over a decade. This union is a dream-come-true for both of us.

Wedding Ceremony

We planned the entire wedding down to the tiniest detail ourselves and of course we took some help from weddingsonline India. It started with colourful Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies, followed by a Sangeet and the main ceremony.

Our Wedding Invitation

The wedding card was our chance to express who we are as a couple. Being a designer myself,  I always wanted it to be special and unique. So,  hand painted my own wedding card and it took almost 2 months to complete it. I wanted the invite to have a small story about us. Blossomed in Pune – Oxford of the East, the fairytale of a beautiful Bihari girl and a handsome Kashmiri boy! Two strangers met and became friends; as their friendship became unique and special, their souls entwined with unselfish love and faith. Soon their lives were interwoven around each other. Her smile made his heart flutter and his humour cast a spell on her. Destiny has brought them together and God has Blessed – now a lifetime vow and commitment. Let us wish them a wonderful beginning to a happy togetherness ever, as a true love story never ends.

Wedding lehenga

I wanted a classic red lehenga but didn’t want it to be very heavy. After 6 months of searching, I finally found my dream lehenga at Wedding Asia (Ashoka hotel, Delhi).  My mom understood my choice perfectly and sat with the designer to customise it . The end result was a “dainty bandhani lehenga” on the inner side followed by traditional work on the upper side. Almost every guest told me how bold and beautiful my choice was! Most importantly I was glad that I could mix and match two different styles and that I will be able to wear it in the future as well.

Wedding Decor

We wanted the wedding decor to be vibrant and colourful with some unique elements so we chose bright pink and yellow as the theme. On the stage, we had a giant paper flower decor along with a floral decorated jhoola (swing) instead of traditional chairs.  For the mandap, we incorporated gota work; gota patti ribbons gave a distinct Indian touch and looked so beautiful!

Bridal Entry

For the bridal entry, I ditched the traditional pholon ki chadar and went for a floral umbrella.

Photo Wall

We had a unique photo wall  since guests love to see photos. The pics shared our intimate experiences and shed light on our love story. We also used pictures from our childhood  as well as our college days and prewedding shoot.
