First, remove any old nail polish you may have on your toes and cut your nails as well. You may think that long unkempt toe nails will be well hidden by a nail polish but clean feet that are free from infection and dirt are nothing without healthy nails.

Ah, now comes the actual spa experience! Prepare a tub of lukewarm water which has a dash of salt, a hint of aromatic oil and a few drops of your favourite scented shampoo. In the next step of our DIY bridal pedicure, all you need to do is to let your feet soak in all that warmth and become softer. Once your feet become visibly softer, take a soft brush and start scrubbing away, beginning with rougher patches like the heels and the soles.  This will help to remove any visible dirt and also acts as a gentle exfoliator.

Next take an exfoliating agent like an apricot kernel scrub or an almond scrub in your hand and gently rub it all over your feet. Ensure that you apply a little more scrub on rough spots like your heels and the soles of your feet. Use either a loofah or a pumice stone to exfoliate any dead skin but make sure that your feet do not become red or sore when it is scrubbed. If you like, you could also use a natural exfoliating foot mask which will remove any dead skin on the feet in just one application.

This next step of our DIY bridal pedicure will soothe away all feet related aches and pains. There are many types of feet massaging creams that are available and which work wonders in making the skin on the feet ultra smooth. It is best to go for a cream that is rich in texture and which has high moisture content as it will keep your feet soft and smelling great. If you like, you could also add a drop or two of essential oil such as lavender, lemon or chamomile to the foot cream before application.

Your pretty feet are all set to look even better with a fresh coat of nail polish. It is advisable to go polish free before your wedding and if you absolutely must, then apply a coat of transparent glitter nail polish. Now that you know how easy a DIY bridal pedicure really is, take the time to indulge your complaining feet whenever you feel the need to.
