Jean-Claude Biguine India kickstarted the discussion talking about their association with Shaadi By Marriot. This was followed by a conversation with Tiger, the owner of Tiger Marron – dealer in premium, luxury leather, and fabric goods.
The morning session culminated in Indian sit-down luncheon consisting of traditional delicacies from across the country and the globe.
The afternoon session started with Manish Malhotra’s vision for the millennial brides and the changes in the bridal fashion industry. ‘It is no longer the bride’s mother or mother-in-law taking the decisions; the bride herself has specifications and is ready to take the risk; be it modern or traditional bridal attire.’ Manish Malhotra has completed 15 years of bridal couture and it will be 30 years for him in the fashion industry next year. He mentioned how modern Indian brides are ‘doing their homework in all aspects of wedding planning’.
The highlight of the evening was an hour-long fashion show showcasing beautiful bridal clothing by the eminent designer with Raniwala jewellers as the jewellery partner.
