The elegant pink and green colour palette was perfect for this sweet couple’s pretty and traditional Marathi wedding sent in by Crystal Memories. Groom Gautam gives us the details:
Bride and Groom– Sonal Khismatrao and Gautam Narkar
We met… Ours is an arranged match. We met in Kalyan, near Mumbai.
Our wedding theme/colours: We had decided to have a simple traditional Marathi wedding.
Sonal loved the green and pink Paithani and I chose a maroon kurta. Sonal also chose simple traditional Maharashtrian hairstyle and makeup. For the reception, she wore a beautiful red sari while I went for a black and brown Sherwani-dhoti combo.
What our bridal party wore: Most of them wore Marathi traditional attire of saris and kurtas.
Our ceremony… It was a simple Marathi traditional ceremony with all the rituals and traditions.
We chose our photographer because… I had seen Tejashree’s work (Crystal Memories Photography) and was impressed with it. We also had a wonderful pre-wedding shoot with her.
Our honeymoon... We always wanted to visit Kerala as we had not been there before.
My favourite part of the wedding day... We loved all aspects of the wedding but enjoyed the photo-sessions the most. It was super fun viewing the albums later.
My piece of advice for other couples to be… Please spend more on photography than other services. You won’t regret it.
