Ahh…Goa- the sunny hues, the surf, the beachy details!…. Today, we have received a rocking Goan wedding which was one wild party. Our couple, Gunjan and Utsav chose the Rio Hotel here to tie the knot . The main ceremony was Maharashtrian style, followed by a North Indian reception. We are ridiculously excited to share the photos of this real wedding; so without further delay let us enjoy the pics:
We met... I met him at his Restaurant in Mulund
Our wedding theme/colours… We wanted a Bollywood themed wedding-you can see from the photos that we got it!
Our ceremony… The main ceremony was Maharashtrian style complete with the yellow Sari presented by my uncle. There were also Punjabi elements thrown in. For example, I wore the Kaliren which are predominantly worn by brides in North Indian weddings. Additionally, we had a cocktail party , Sangeet , Mehndi , a pool party and also a post-wedding party . It was one rocking affair!
We chose our photographer because... we both decided to go with Candid Wedding Stories because they had shot our friends’ wedding and their work is awesome .
We chose our wedding coordinator because… We are friends- Sonu ( Parabjit Singh Khanna) is brilliant event manager he managed everything perfectly.
We chose our venue because… We wanted a no-expense spared destination wedding. So Goa was ideal from all persectives. The Rio hotel (Resortrio) accommodated all our needs perfectly.
Our menu… Punjabi food primarily. We also had Maharshtrian style dishes.
Our honeymoon… We honeymooned in Europe.
My favourite part of the wedding day… of course it was our feraas .
My piece of advice for other brides... Don’t stress and enjoy each and every moment of your wedding .
