We love it when we get to kick start the week with a real wedding story. The very fact that today’s RW happens to be a destination wedding is just the proverbial icing/cherry on the cake! Khushboo, our bride, always knew she’d have a royal, palatial wedding and boy did she get one! She and her childhood sweetheart Jaisal got the wedding of their dreams as is evident from the gorgeous pics sent in by their photographer Pratik Varaiya of Pratik Photoworks. Read on for details!
Groom and Bride
Mr. Jaisal Chhachhia and Miss Khushboo Bhatia..
We met
Jaisal and I happen to be childhood friends.
Our proposal
There was none…we just knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together!
Our wedding theme/colours
We selected beige, gold and traditional red and played around with these colours for all ceremonies.
My dress
I purchased all my lehengas and saris from Bawree.
My hair and make up
My hair and makeup was done by Ms. Jayshree (based in Mulund).
His suit
His sherwani and all other suits were from Manyavar.
Our ceremony…
We had three main ceremonies for the different rituals: Mata ki Chowki, Sangeet, Wedding. This was followed by a grand Reception.
We chose our photographer
Our photographer was Pratika Variaya of PratikPhotoworks. We liked his work; we liked his dedication and especially the way he and his team interacted with everyone.
What our bridal party wore
Mainly saris and traditional wedding attire.
We chose our venue because…
We got married in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan since we both wanted a destination wedding. Also majority of our relatives were based out of Jaisalmer.
Our menu…
There was a mouthwatering array of Indian Punjabi/Rajasthani, South Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Thai cuisines.
Our honeymoon…
We honeymooned in New Zealand. It was a self planned trip through Booking.com, Tripadvisor, etc. for 14 nights and 15 days. We covered many cities including Auckland, Rotorua, Bay of Islands, Queenstown, Wanaka, Lake Tekopo/Mt.Cook, and Christchurch.
My favourite part of the wedding day…
The wedding aspect I was most nervous about was the ceremony and it ended up being my absolute favourite part of the day. The way my husband looked at me when I walked towards him in my wedding attire, the love in his eyes and smile on his face, just made my day.
My piece of advice for other brides…
Take it easy on yourself and be yourself!
