Happy Wednesday, dear brides! We’ve received a beautiful real wedding in the middle of the week. Photographer Nivedita Ghosh has sent us some lovely photos from Nidhi & Ritesh’s big day and boy are they sweet! There are tons of classic elements along with sophistication and elegance in today’s real wedding, so let us jump right into it.
Full names of bride and groom
Nidhi Kavle & Ritesh Chaudhary
We met…
At my first job at an advertising agency called Milestone Brandcom
Our proposal…
That’s the funny part, there wasn’t any. It was sort of an unsaid understanding!
Our wedding theme/colours
Classic, simple and elegant. I love fairy lights and associate them with joy and love. I used them all over the venue to create a halo of happiness :). My wedding lehenga was beige and red with silver-gold zari work. He wore a red and beige kurta pyjama. So yes, we were colour coordinated.
Where I bought my dress from
My clothes were from Jade & a quaint boutique called Fuchsia in Bandra.
His suit was from….
I can’t remember the name, but it was from a boutique in Juhu, opposite JW Marriott.
Our ceremony
We had a 3-day wedding that included Cocktail, Mehendi followed by the Wedding and Reception.
We chose our photographer because…
Nivedita was sweet, patient and understood our requirements. It was a pleasure having her as our wedding photographer! She also fit our budget perfectly.
We chose our wedding coordinator because
I wish I had chosen one, I was bridezilla level 100! Man weddings are tough! Wish I’d let someone else do all the hard work.
We chose our venue because
Club Milennium Juhu, Mumbai. We chose it because we had a December wedding and it was the only venue available on short notice! I wanted something close to home and it was ideal.
Our menu
The food was mainly Indian and Chinese.
Our honeymoon…
We chose Maldives, Lux – South Ari Atoll. Seriously, it was a fairy-tale honeymoon and we stayed there for 6 days. We had booked 2 different rooms to ensure we would get the full ‘island’ experience. The place we stayed in was an over water villa and we also stayed in a beach villa with a private pool for the remaining part of our stay.
My favourite part of the wedding day…
Well, to be honest, the part when it was over!!!! Honestly, I was exhausted by the end of it. Mostly, because I didn’t let ANYBODY take control of ANYTHING! I wanted to make sure everything was perfect and couldn’t bring myself to depend on anyone else to get my vision.
My piece of advice for other brides…
Get a planner ladies, please!
