Mehendi

The Mehendi was held at Udai Chowk and since the weather was gorgeous, it was an outdoor event. The theme of the day was Persian Paradise and The Wedding Designers decided to go for a floral, turquoise and pink decor reminiscent of sea, summer and romance. Special elements one got to see here were: clay pots as centerpieces, Hamsa installation with handmade wooden blocks, kettles with floral pieces, mirrored circular bars and so on. Here are some gorgeous pics of the stunning decor.

Sangeet

The Sangeet eve was held in the Fateh Sagar Ballroom with Chaandni Ratein theme (Starry nights Bollywood Style!). Guests enjoyed the mirror Ladis, mirror mosaic arches, swings decorated with roses and ferns for the bride & groom. There were two-level stages with illuminated Mumtaaz Jaalis.

Artist: Jazba band (Ashish Chhabra) from Delhi

The Wedding/Pheras

The pheras were held at Aravali Lawns with  Eternal Kashi theme (Kashi being the Indian holy land). So one got to see colours like maroon, blush, cream and burnished gold. The talented wedding planners also used gold ribbon installation art for the walkway. The team installed 40,000 liters of water bodies with large aarti stands around the mandap. All these elements gave a ‘feel’ of the city of Kashi, the layout of the event was inspired by a mandala which is a spiritual & ritual symbol in Hinduism representing the universe. The amphitheater seating on either side of the mandap gave an old-world charm of Benaras. Indian tube-roses & gulabs with hundreds of candles gave a golden glow to the venue

Artist: Varanasi pandits performed the Ganga aarti, an instrumental troupe of tabla, flute, and sitar

Qawwali Night/Reception

Qawwals from Lucknow and International Mujra dancers kept guests enthralled at this event. Crystal chandeliers, attar bottles and flower petals with gold theme and other sparkling elements added an exotic and elegant look to the venue.
