We are super excited to share a gorgeous beach wedding from Alibaug –a peaceful coastal town barely 100km south of Mumbai. You are going to want to spend some time on this real wedding today- it has tons of sweet personalized details and inspiration for your own Big Day. The event was flawlessly planned by F5 Weddings- an event management company that does it all- from planning romantic proposals to drawing up the details for a lavish and elegant wedding ceremony, F5 Weddings– the brainchild of Ajay Modgil- will be there every step of the way. Without further delay, here are the sweet details from Rini&Mohit’s superb wedding:
Rocking 3-day celebration by F5 Weddings
The 3 day event kicked off with a rocking Mehendi function on the 27th of January. This was, hands down, the brightest, most colourful event of the three, with magnificent décor consisting of parandis, latkkans, Gonda Gotta pattis and tents.
Engagement-The Mehendi was followed by an elaborate engagement/ring exchange function with a Sangeet thereafter- an event straight out of a fairytale. The idea was to keep these events pure, so the planners from F5 Weddings decided to take things outdoors to include the venue’s natural beauty. Talented artists created a 30 ft flower bed aisle with paper bag lanterns to make a path for the bride. On the other end was a huge cut-out of the couple’s initials (LOVE IS R and M)– a place for the lovers to exchange their rings. The song “Tum Mile” was played as Rini entered the Mandap and approached Mohit on the other side. Elegance & Love were the two themes behind the event.
Sangeet– Moving indoors, the Sangeet was a 45-minute affair with a mix of video, dances, songs, stand-up comedy and a whole lot of special effects-specifically a big LFD. The entire show was choreographed and performed by the family and friends. Even at 4:00am in the morning, the guests were ready to party after just a few hours of sleep. This event was thus, in every sense “very high on celebration”.
The Wedding Day- On the Big day, Rini stepped out of an open Doli and entered the Mandap with her beautiful bridesmaids by her side-to await her baraatis. Mohit’s Baraat was not an ordinary baraat by any means. He arrived in a full power pop-art edgy Truck (!) having massive speakers decorated with disco balls and colorful streamers. An amazing combination of the band and the DJ took this celebration to a whole new level where the guests just didn’t want to stop dancing until they reached the Mandap. Mohit’s sawari was not a ghodi or a vintage car; it was a colorful Vespa with a side-cart which eventually was also the Bidaai getaway vehicle!! We can imagine the fun and cuteness this tiny detail must have brought to the wedding!
Theme of the wedding-To summarize the wedding theme, Rini and Mohit’s was a stunning, sunset wedding full of romantic details having colours of love, passion, purity, peace and elegance. Red, white and peach were the chosen colours. The water body surrounding the venue was afloat with colourful candles and the huge cut-out sign of their initials (described above) was the focal point of the decor.
Reception:
No stage, no long lines, no guests standing waiting for posed photographs with the couple. Instead this was a roaming reception where the newlyweds personally went around from table to table to meet their guest. (This is fast becoming a trend in destination weddings).
For the reception, F5 Wedding team completely gave a new look to the venue’s decor –there were more than 1000 candles lighting up the entire lawn and huge crystal centrepieces that were truly attention grabbing. Another unique touch here was The Wish Tree- a cherry blossom tree where the couple’s family and friends wrote their wishes on wishes cards hanging over it. Needless to say, there was a line here as guests scrambled to leave sweet notes for the very sweet couple!
As if all this wasn’t enough; The F5 Wedding team also arranged an after-party following a very lavish Reception. Of special mention here is the flash dance performance planned secretly by the handsome groom, one which left the bride and her guests completely mesmerized.
