This real wedding (or should we say weddings) is a first of firsts for weddingsOnlineIndia! Not only have we never published a Kashmiri wedding before; we have never ever published a real wedding having two couples tying the knot on the same day at the same venue and documented by a single photographer! Here are the details of the grand ceremony in Soumen’s words:

“Oh, what an assignment…! Two weddings to be shot together at the same time and venue and that too single handedly. When I met Suvidha and Shubhangi and for the time , I knew this was going to be an awesome experience altogether. The sweet and beautiful Kashmiri girls looked cheerful, smart and very modern in their outlook. Having already shot their twin Engagement, again at the same time and the same venue, I had already been able to win their confidence. But deep in my heart, I knew this is going to be a real challenge. After all, Wedding is a much special day and I needed to do justice at any cost. I had reached the wedding venue at 8am in the morning right from another wedding and a full night of shooting. No sleep and no rest. Well that’s how the Wedding photographer’s life is. No complains about that. Come on girls, wake up. I had to literally pull Shubhangi out of the bed. The make up artist came a little while later. And thus began my roller coaster ride of photographing the most wonderful and challenging wedding ever. Slowly the transformation began. With every step of the makeup, the sisters look more and more beautiful. And finally they emerged dressed in the most wonderful attire and traditional Kashmiri head gear. It was like looking at damsels from the heaven.

Suvidha and Rachit’s was a ritualistic Kashmiri wedding. Shubhangi and Punjabi boy Aniket had a cross-cultural Kashmiri-Punjabi Wedding. The venue looked awesome to say the least. Suvidha and Shubhangi had got the minutest details designed and fixed as per their taste on their own. Decorated with roses, Orchids and marrygolds, the venue looked divine.”
