Disha Vasyani, one of our Instagram followers, wanted to share her interesting proposal story with us. Meghnil, Disha’s fiance, went to great lengths to set it all up….so read on for details!

We met
Meghnil and I had enrolled on the popular dating app Trulymadly and after numerous bad dates, we bumped into each other.We met for the first time in Diwali 2015 and couldn’t stop thinking about each other ever since. In February 2016, Meghnil had to move to London permanently which left us in a long distance relationship. However, we still kept going strong. After numerous video/online chats and long distance phone calls across time zones, we are finally tying the knot this year.
Our proposal
For the big question, Meghnil whisked me to the Gateway of India where he had arranged for a private yacht (for our shared love of water). When we reached the middle of the sea, he took out a book titled “The Story of Us” which portrayed our entire story so far. On the last page of the book was his emoticon with an actual ring! I was floored and said Yes immediately!
