Our venue was Chand Bagh in Delhi. We chose it because we wanted a regal looking wedding. The venue was beautiful with a gorgeous chandelier centrepiece. We planned our wedding right from the dresses to the jewellery to go with this theme.

Gautam Khullar of Fotoscaped. I had seen his work on Instagram and loved his work. I wanted him to capture our wedding and make it look beautiful yet a little understated.

Meera Sakhrani. I love the way Meera works. She literally sculpts your face; she’s an artist. Meera works to accentuate your best features without giving you a caked look. So you still look like yourself. I had made it clear to her that I wanted a simple yet glam look!

I think most girls plan for this day from their childhood. We have this perfect look planned in our minds. Most of us have even decided on the colour of the lehenga even before we’ve met the one we want to marry. But when all of it actually happens and we go out to pick our dress; everything goes out the window. At first it feels a little disappointing that nothing is going as planned, but come to think of it; we actually end up finding something better. So my advice would be to just take it easy and go with the flow. Because in our mind things might seem different than in real life. The key is to just embrace reality and have fun anyway!
