At our common friend’s wedding and he says it was love at first sight since then for him. He pulled all strings to arrange a meeting… but I didn’t get the message. But destiny had the same plan and my proposal for an arranged marriage ended up at Nitin’s  and the rest is history.

On our second date, over a shared cup of hazelnut coffee!

4. My dress…

I went through several designers and boutiques before settling down on the Anita Dongre lehenga. I just love the colour-it wasn’t too traditional and, at the same time, fit the norms perfectly.

6. His suit…

7. Our ceremony…

It was a typical Hindu ceremony with Gujrati rituals, customs and traditions.

8. We chose our photographer …

We went with Sunil Thakur Photography (STP). Having been through the portfolios of several photographers, we zeroed in on this one. We loved his easy going attitude that made him extremely approachable. It is important to feel comfortable with your photographer and we felt that rapport with STP team.

9. Our venue

Cooperage Football Ground

10. Our menu…

It was a mix of Indian, Continental and Oriental cuisines – something to suit a variety of tastes.

We went to Croatia and Prague.

12. My favourite part of the wedding day…

Everything was so special!

13. My piece of advice for other brides…

Just chill, relax and go with the flow, focus on yourself and your significant other-to-be; the rest of the world does not matter. Savor every moment; it all goes by so quickly!
