Bangalore, February 14, 2014: YLG Salon (You Look Great!), the Bangalore-based salon chain with over thirty salons in Bangalore and Chennai has won the ‘Salon chain of the year- South’ at the 3rd Indian Salon Awards. Since its inception six years ago, YLG has rapidly expanded its footprint in Bangalore to become the city’s largest salon chain, with a presence across most neighborhoods. YLG Salon has also trained around 1200 students at its own beauty institute – ISHA (International Skin and Hair Academy).
The award is India’s leading Salon, Spa and Wellness award that rewards and recognizes the work done by salon chains, spas and fitness centres across the country. The salon industry, currently pegged at USD 2 billion , is growing at a rapid pace, and is expected to touch USD 3.5 billion by 2015. The award was presented to Rahul Bhalchandra, CEO and Director, YLG Salon by Jahir Habib and Murali Sundar, Country Manager, Schwarzkopf Professional India at a glittering ceremony in Delhi.
