South India’s biggest Diamond Jewellery brand Kirtilals’ humble beginnings have started when Shri Kirtilal Kalidas Mehta started selling customised diamond jewellery in Coimbatore in late 1920’s. He was able to stand apart from the other jewellers in the city, as the jewellery was designed on the spot by the designer, who travels with him while he goes to meet his customers. This has led to the opening of the first Kirtilals showroom in Raja Street in Coimbatore in 1939.
Today, 75 years later, Kirtilals group is one of the biggest Diamond Conglomerates in the world who holds a special status of being dual-sightholder of DTC (De Beers Group). From Diamond cutting to polishing, designing to manufacturing, everything ‘after the mines to retail’ in under one umbrella. Kirtilals enjoys the special privilege of selecting the diamonds at the Mines itself.
Not just the connoisseurs of Jewellery, Kirtilals have designed and crafted the jewellery for various temples across the world, including the Diamond crown for Lord Venkateshwara in Tirupati
Kirtilals Design Studio is one of the biggest jewellery design studios in the country, where the designers travel across the globe to identify motifs, and present it to the current global-indian. These designs are customised at state-of-the-art manufacturing facility where 2 generations of craftsman manufacture the products for the customers, where some of them are in their 4 generation buying at Kirtilals.
