Today we are presenting a beautiful, Ayra Samaj styled red and beige wedding . Grab a pen and paper, ladies and gentlemen, and jot down details like where the lovely bride shopped for her gorgeous wedding dresses etc. There are some tips for grooms-to-be as well…
Couple: Sukriti Sobti and Ravi Kant
Both Assistant Professors in Delhi University were united by a common love for English literature. Diametrically opposite in nature, likes and dislikes, there was yet a “common thread that bound them to each other”.
Their Wedding Theme– Red and Beige
Her Dress– Bridal Lehenga from Kamal Bhai Saree Sangam, Chandni Chowk
Reception – A Red and Gold embellished Lehenga Saree from Meena Bazaar
Her hair and makeup– Dr. Sangeeta Chauhan, Professional Makeup Artist
His suit– Sherwani from TDI Mall, Rajouri Garden
What their bridal party wore– Most of the dresses and saris were bought from different clothing stores in Rajouri Garden and Chandni Chowk.
Their ceremony- An Arya Samaj Wedding
Their Honeymoon– Thailand
Bride’s favourite part of the wedding day– First glance at my groom
Important piece of advice for other brides– Stay calm. Do your research about where to shop and what to buy well in advance. It is a good idea to make a collective list of some famous shops (information collected from other friends and relatives) so that you don’t have to waste time searching numerous markets. Keep an eye on off season sales. I got a few items in my wedding trousseau from Meena Bazaar and DC collection at Rajouri Garden at a really attractive price during the sale season.
For Brides-to-be, do check out 555 Saree House at Chandni Chowk for a great collection of sarees and lehengas at a reasonable price.
For Grooms-to-be, if you don’t want to spend a bomb on your wedding outfits, renting or getting it stitched from a tailor are some of the options available.
