Bride Turns MUA for Her Intimate Lockdown Wedding!

By  |

As weddings are getting smaller and more intimate due to the pandemic, many brides are turning their own MUAs for their celebrations. In today’s real wedding, bride Hiral (being an experienced Makeup Artist herself) faced little to no difficulties in doing her own bridal makeup while also dolling up her bridesmaids. Take a look at Hiral and Amit’s intimate lockdown wedding photos…

Full names of bride and groom

Hiral Shah and Amit Babar.

How we met

We both knew other since we are in school and have been dating each other for 12 years. We have pretty much grown up with each other.

Wedding venue

Grass Resort, Nashik.

Why we chose this venue

Due to the pandemic, we were only allowed 50 people which worked perfectly for us since we always wanted an intimate wedding. This resort had a small, open lawn. We kept in mind that the wedding area must not look “empty” since there were only 45 people including us. This property was small, cute, and perfect for what we wanted. Also, the weather in Nashik during August was rainy and so romantic! It was perfect!

Special precautions we took for the wedding

We had a small ceremony before the wedding for all the elders of our family, like our grandparents, since we decided none of them could travel for the wedding. It would be an unnecessary risk for them which we completely avoided as precautionary measures. Also, we performed temperature checks of all the guests that were a part of the wedding.

Our photographer

Movie’ing Moments I had seen their work while working for a client and it always held a special place in my heart. The team is absolutely amazing at what they do. They were so helpful during the wedding and captured every little detail without complaining about our timings.

My dress and jewellery

My dress was bought in January from Roopkala as the wedding was initially scheduled for April. But as the wedding got postponed due to the lockdown, I had my lehenga ready. They were still very helpful with alterations.
Jewellery I bought from Parasmani Jewellers, Zaveri Bazaar, Mumbai.

Amit’s sherwani

Moksh Studio, Santacruz.

My advice to other couples-to-be

Due to the pandemic, there will be many things that will not work according to the plans you have in your mind. But, please don’t worry or fuss about getting everything perfect – just relax and enjoy every little moment of the intimate wedding. You get more time to spend with your loved ones and get many amazing photos ;)- stay optimistic!

Our honeymoon :

None, because of the lockdown. We didn’t want to risk going out since we already had a fun 3 days at the resort. We’re planning on doing something once things go back to being “normal”.
We wish the couple a very happy married life ahead. Send in your wedding pics to us for publishing on our blog/social media – email them to [email protected].
