With the festive spirit in the air, there are so many ways in which you can make your wedding a truly special occasion that’s infused with plenty of fun. There’s a good reason why couples are willing to engage the services of renowned wedding planners who can make their weddings a real fairy tale story, and that’s because everybody loves a wedding that has certain ‘oomph’ factor. Replicating a true Bollywood style shaadi is no doubt an expensive investment to make, but there are many other ways in which you can give your guests something to remember the party by. Masquerade Party: Remember how you enjoyed wearing cartoon character masks as a child? Well, adults enjoy wearing masks too! So, how about asking your guests to choose an eye or face mask as they enter the reception area or just before they hit the dance floor? Take your pick from glitter eye masks, face masks with hand-painted designs on them or even face masks made from lace and feathers. If you would like to get even more creative, then take some inspiration from comic book heroes and their respective costume designs. These masks will make a cute memento for guests to take home too.
Party Favours: Party favours range from exquisite jewellery and pens to mini bonsai plants and customised key chains. Since a new year is just around the corner, how about letting your guests leave with an edible sweet treat instead? Mini macaroons in designer boxes, cake pops in assorted flavours, almond marzipan, cup-cakes, home baked cookies and signature pastries are all wonderful party favour gifts to give your guests. In fact, you’ll be surprised by the new flavours that chocolatiers and dessert boutiques experiment with which taste as good as they sound. Kids’ Area: Children are often the most neglected guests at wedding parties and that’s half the reason why they get bored easily and often prefer not to attend weddings at all! Show the kids how much their presence at your wedding means to you by having a designated children’s area just for them. Have a few activities which the kids can do by themselves( think drawing books + crayons), give them a few board games to keep them busy and have a clown or tattoo painter to keep them entertained too. Ensuring that a few kiddy favourites like pizza, mini burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes and biscuits are within their reach, will give them added reason to smile.
