How to Make Your Skin Glow on Your Wedding Day

By  |

Every bride-to-be pictures herself with flawless skin and dressed up in perfect wedding apparel that makes all eyes turn towards her on her wedding day.
Spending time to get the required glow on your face is as important as selecting a bridal saree or lehnga. In fact, it is not necessary that the glow will magically appear at that time. Ideally, your skin care routine should begin six months prior to your wedding day, but you can do the best that you can even if you don’t have enough time.

The following tips will help to ensure  bridal glow on your special day:

Follow an Exercise Regime – Opt for an exercise routine that you will stick to. It may be yoga,  aerobics, kickboxing, jogging or any other exercise of your choice. Regular exercise will not only help you to get into shape but it will also help to oxygenate your skin that will give a healthy and natural glow.

Get Regular Facials – Facials help in deep cleansing and these should preferably start about five to six months before your wedding on monthly basis

Apply Sunscreen – Apply sunscreen every day especially before going out with at least SPF 15.

Consult a Dermatologist – Discuss your skin care problems and possible cosmetic treatment options with your dermatologist to get the perfect skin that looks its best.

Hydrate Your Body – Drink plenty of water as it helps in flushing away any kind of impurities. Make it a habit to carry a water bottle wherever you go and avoid carbonated drinks.

Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize – Following this ritual twice a day will help to wash away dirt with toxins, close pores and hydrate your skin.

Get Plenty of Sleep– Lack of sleep can take toll on skin. Lavender oil applied on your wrist just before bedtime acts as a great aid that helps you to relax and boost your energy. Make sure that there is total darkness in your bedroom while you are sleeping as light can easily confuse your body clock.

Eat Nutritional Food – It not only improves your internal health but also improves the quality of skin and provides anti aging benefit.

Taking proper care of your skin before your wedding day will not only ensure lesser makeup on your special day but also a glow that lasts even after your honeymoon.
