I have always loved makeup and used to try my hand on my family and friends, despite not being trained. After working in the marketing sector for 4 years, I realized that I was not enjoying my work and really wanted to take my love for makeup as a profession. That’s when I took up professional makeup training. I did my first course from a small institute in Pune. Since staring my career, I  have done several makeup and hair courses as there is so much to learn in this industry. One simply has to keep oneself  updated with latest makeup/hair-styling techniques and trends and that’s what I strive for.

Every bride has different skin and hair type as well as different choices of makeup. So it is very important to first understand what each client wants or is looking for. After that, I endeavor to understand her skin and hair type.  We have a detailed discussion with each bride and try to match her expectations with what we can execute, depending on her skin and hair type. At the same time, we also give suggestions based on new trends and techniques in the field today. Of course, our top priority is their choice and comfort level. I mainly help clients understand their skin and hair type and what will/won’t suit them so that they can use those tips in the future when they do their own makeup. Apart from that, we also counsel brides on their pre-bridal skin care routines so they can prepare for their big day.

 

Brides these days are very bold but most also prefer pastel colors which are always in vogue. Many brides are seen opting for pink, peachy lehengas. As far as makeup goes, many prefer the contemporary smokey look. Then there are brides who still like to go for traditional looks with dark maroon lehengas and classic hairstyles. Many have started opting for High definition makeup suitable for the HD cameras and an airbrushed look that guarantees flawless skin.

Rates for bridal packages start from 12,000 INR for HD and INR 14,000 for airbrush.

I use all high end professional makeup products to name a few: Mac, Makeup Forever, Tarte, ABH, Urban Decay, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Becca, Temptu, Benefit and more. The three tools I need are my brushes, a good moisturizer for all skin types (so that the base looks good) and wet wipes to make sure nothing gets messy. I give utmost importance to hygiene and cleanliness while doing makeup.
