Vaidehi and Kunal’s Peshwai Themed Wedding!

By  |

Vaidehi Deo and Kunal Barve met while doing their Masters in California. Kunal popped the question at sunrise at the beautiful Twin Peaks in San Francisco overlooking the city lights. Vaidehi  had always dreamed of a Peshwai themed wedding and when she sent in her wedding photos to us, we knew we had to share them on our blog right away! The stolen glances and sweet smiles between these lovebirds really made the day perfect we think! See for yourself…

Our ceremony

It was a traditional Marathi wedding but since Kunal is from Gujarat we also included a Garba Night.

Our Wedding Photographer and why we chose them

Ritesh Gide. He was recommended by our trusted wedding coordinator. Ritesh is great with candid photos and we loved his portfolio. We specially liked his style of wedding highlights video.
For Prewedding photography, we went with Laurie W.

We chose our wedding coordinator because…

Yash and Aarti Borkar; they are friends and like family to Kunal. They knew what we wanted and where to arrange everything from, without going over the budget. Their team rocked our Sangeet+Garba night with their hosting and decorations.

We chose our venue because….

Banyan Paradise, Vadodara, Gujarat. What could be better than a pool side mandap setting, with dinner under trees covered in fairy lights? Plus the food was truly exceptional! Gujaratis are well known for their sweets and Banyan Paradise offered truly unique dishes.

Our menu

  • Drinks- Milk base litchi delight, Guava delight.
  • Starters – Chinese cigar(!), almond broccoli soup, cheese corn ball, veg dumplings, cocktail samosa with chutney.
  • Live counter of Mohanbhog chaat (unique!)
  • Sweet- Dried figs and walnut halwa, red velvet raita, assorted pastries and American dry fruit ice-cream.
  • Main course – Paneer Amritsari, veg Miloni Tarkari, Hydrabadi biryani, Russian salad

My favorite part of the wedding day

Well the two days went so fast with so much happening, each of which was really special. But the look on my parents face was the best part. They didn’t have to say anything-they were happy.

My piece of advice for other brides…

Congratulations girls! You are going to look so beautiful on your day and it is going to be the day of your dreams. And now some advice – things are going to go  awry- roses may have to be replaced with orchids. So don’t set ultimatums, keep an open mind- it is the only way to have minimal stress. Be open to experiments, you never know- you might set a new trend. And you know what- it will hardly matter in the end! Just enjoy and get pampered.

Our honeymoon…

Going to Miami soon. Shopping at Victorias Secret. All arrangements managed with Google trips and TripAdvisor. We will be staying at Eden House, Key west, and Roommate Waldorf Towers, South Beach, Miami. Romantic dinner at Latitudes on Sunset Key.

We wish the couple a very happy married life ahead!!! Send in your wedding photos to us at [email protected]!
