Wedding in Resort Deventure Simla

We met

We met on November 25th, last year, a lazy Sunday evening when our families arranged our first meeting. With sleepy eyes, I met him for the first time. I loved the fact that he was constantly smiling and paying attention to each and every word I said. That was what captured my heart. We are two opposite people, south pole and north pole really, and I believe that we ‘met at the Equator’. Where, on one hand, I am extremely expressive, he prefers to be quiet and lets his eyes do the talking. So, I must admit his eyes indeed expressed his emotions well and the way he felt for me was in the eyes (he did not propose via words but with his eyes)!

My dress

Wedding Outfit – I wore a beautiful red lehanga from Om Prakash Jawahar Lal . The store is located in Chandni chowk.

Sagan Outfit – I wanted this one to be flowy, graceful, extremely elegant yet modern; so we went with a blue princess organza gown by Lapearl.

Mehandi outfit – I preferred light pink drape saree from Elements Design Studio l, it is situated in Model Town.

Groom’s sherwani from Amber Grover, his store by the name of ‘Grosons’ is situated in west Punjabi Bagh.

Wedding date – 10th July.

Venue

We were sure that we did not want to get married in humid weather, and wanted a cool and soothing climate. Thus we decided to have a dream destination wedding in the hills and we selected DEVENTURE RESORT KANDAGHAT (SOLAN-SHIMLA HIGHWAY) We had four ceremonies at Deventure: Mehandi, Sagan, Rituals and finally, the Wedding. We even had Iskcon kirtan at Invitation Banquet. My favourite part of the wedding was bridal dance entry and grooving with my best friends.
