Harbhajan Singh married Geeta Basra in a family-only-affair ceremony at a Gurudwara (Guru Nanak Mission Netraheen Vridh Ashram) Jalandhar in October 2015. The ceremony may have been intimate but the groom arrived at the venue is a white Rolls Royce and the guest of honor was none other than God of Indian Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali. Stunning bride Geeta wore a heavily embroidered silk lehenga designed by Archana Kochhar. The reception took place at Club Cabana, which too was attended by high profile guests like Neeta and Mukesh Ambani, and cricketers Parthiv Patel, Dinesh Karthik, RP Singh, and Pragyan Ojha.

Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh

In December 2015, Rohit Sharma tied the knot with his love interest Ritika Sajdeh who was also his manager. Many a celebrity and cricketer including Sonakshi Sinha, Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar, Neeta Ambani, Bobby Deol, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja,Virat Kohli and the legendary Ravi Shastri attended the ceremony. Rohit Sharma looked dapper in a Raghavendra Rathore outfit. The Ambani’s had earlier thrown a glamorous pre-wedding party for the couple, which was also graced by top movie stars and cricketers. The then newly weds Harbhajan Singh and actress Geeta Basra also attended the event. There was a starlit (literally) wedding reception later where Rohit wore a maroon Troy Costa creation and Ritika dazzled in a spectacular sliver work turquoise and navy blue lehenga. Irfan Pathan tied the knot with Jeddah model Safa Baig  in a sober ceremony in the holy city of Mecca. Safa, we hear, is an artist and a PR executive. We of course look forward to the glitter and buzz of a grand reception party in March this year.

Speedster Varun Aaron got hitched with his childhood friend Ragini at the Jamshedpur Court on 1^st February this year. Varun, the captain of Jharkhand team, is preparing to reclaim glory after his nuptials. Having missed the Ranji Trophy quarterfinal clash between Jharkhand and Mumbai on account of his wedding and later at the Church, we do hope his lady love also plays lady luck in the future.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja is all set to share wedded bliss with Reeva Solanki. The engagement was a sober affair with few friends and family at Jadeja’s restaurant Jaddu’s Food Field in Rajkot, Gujarat. Turns out, Ravindar “met” his prospective bride in an arranged meeting by the parents of the to-be bride and groom. Cupid struck and they decided immediately that they were made for each other despite her lack luster enthusiasm towards Cricket! Reeva is a mechanical engineer – we hear she is down to earth- yet all set to rub shoulders with other cricket star wives and girlfriends. We do hope the cricket season gives the couple a little breather for them to tie the knot. The cricketer is positive that his engagement to Reeva will bring him immense good luck and guide the sails of his career in a rewarding direction.
