You’ve done the planning, you’ve made the phone calls, and sent the invites. The wedding is finally happening tomorrow! Now what? Don’t pace around all night, letting your nerves get the best of you. Some simple self-care and preparation will help you de-stress and get prepared for the big day tomorrow. Check out some of our recommendations of the things to do the night before your wedding.
1. Call Your Husband-to-Be
In many cultures, it’s bad luck to see your husband-to-be the night before the wedding, but no one has said anything about talking to him! Both of you will likely be experiencing the same nerves, so it could help to talk about it. Hearing his voice should remind you of why you’re putting yourselves through this stress and quell any concerns you might have had. It will also offer a rare moment of privacy to share thoughts and feelings before the big day tomorrow.

2. Pack a Survival Kit
Accidents are bound to happen, but you don’t have to be caught by surprise. Pack a small survival kit to bring with you to the ceremony and reception in the case of any wardrobe malfunctions, makeup smears, or even the dreaded wine stain! Bring along: double-sided tape, safety pins, tissues, waterproof mascara, hair pins, antiperspirant wipes, and breath fresheners.
3. Eat a Healthy Snack
While your nerves may have you reaching for your comfort junk food, fight the urge! Do your future-self a favor and invest in some healthy wedding day fuel. Nuts can help you de-stress, while avocados help prevent bloating. Skip foods with a lot of carbs or sodium that will make you bloat and prevent you from fitting into your wedding dress. Before bed, try sipping on some peppermint tea to unwind and ease digestion.
4. Write Down Vendor Details
With all the busyness that tomorrow will bring, it’s helpful to make a cheat sheet that keeps all your vendors straight. Write down names, numbers, and any additional details that will be important to ensuring that your day runs smoothly. Then, give your list to your wedding planner or a trusted friend so you won’t have to worry about it. Just don’t forget to bring along a little extra cash to tip everyone!

5. Take a Hot Bath
Treat yourself to a relaxing, self-indulgent activity, like a bath, to keep your stress at bay, reduce anxiety, and help you fall asleep easily. With all the expectations of tomorrow, you’ll likely need all the help you can get. Keep in mind that it’s important to not try any new beauty routines the day before your wedding. Instead, stick to tried-and-true bubbles or bath bombs.
6. Journal
The mixture of feelings you’ll likely feel just a few hours before your wedding day are indescribable. A nauseous mix of excitement, terror, elation, and stress is inescapable. A good way to calm your thoughts, however, is to write them all down. Describe your feelings, your fears, your goals, everything that’s racing through your head to find some clarity of mind. It will not only serve as a great form of self-care in the moment, but it will also be a time capsule of your wedding. Dig it back out on the 10th anniversary and share it with your partner!
7. Get a Good Night’s Sleep
The most important thing you can do for your beauty, nerves, and energy tomorrow is to get a good night’s sleep the night before! Make sure you prep your bedroom ahead of time. Although it may seem hard to fall asleep with all the excitement, a cozy mattress, fluffy blanket, and supportive pillow can go a long way in helping you drift off to dreamland.
