Real Weddings: Deepa-Ashwin’s Grand Sindhi Wedding By Simplypush Photography

Pushpendra Gautam of  Simplypush Photography describes a lavish Sindhi wedding in Chennai for our real weddings feature this week…

feature

Bride & Groom: DeepaMehtani And AshwinValecha

Date of Wedding: 4th December 2012

Location: The Accord Metropolitan,  Chennai

How they met: It was an arranged match and the parents were instrumental in bringing them together.

Wedding theme/colors: It was a typical Sindhi wedding, with its virbant reds and maroons, as can be seen in the photographs below. A Sindhi wedding is more or less like a North Indian (Hindu) wedding, but the surprise element in this case was that it was being held in Chennai, where the wedding style, with its southern influence, is rather different than those of the North Indian weddings.
