Priyanka and Arnab belong to different cultures but that could hardly stop them from falling in love. After knowing each other for six long years, they finally tied the knot on May 6th 2013 in a rocking, fun-filled temple wedding ceremony. Tanweer Alam was on hand to capture the lovely moments…

Their story: Priyanka and Arnab had known each other for quite a while, and though he fell for her since the first time he saw her; Arnab was hesitant in asking her out. So, Priyanka decided to take matters into her own hands and finally  did so.

The couple had a beautiful engagement ceremony in the capital city. This was followed by a temple wedding, for which both donned traditional Bengali wedding dresses. Following the wedding ceremony, there were several Indian wedding rituals such as the bidaai and  the griha pravesh followed by some fun Indian wedding games. . The photographs tell all the details:

The Griha Pravesh (Bride’s entry in her husband’s home)…

During this ceremony, Priyanka was required to dip her feet in vermilion paste and walk all over her new home to create red footprints. (This is to symbolize that the bride brings good luck into her husband’s home.)
