Real Weddings:Meghan & Rahul’s Perfect Winter Wedding by Bestman Photography

By  |

American gal Meghan met Rahul in Delhi through a mutual friend while she was in India on a business trip . They were engaged in July 2012 and married  in December 2012.  Meghan and Rahul chose Abhishek Bali (The Bestman Photography)as their photographer because of his photographic style, commitment to quality, and unique artistic perspective he brings to the table.

Meghan and Rahul currently live in Delhi where she works for a large international NGO and he runs a corporate gifting, merchandise, and marketing company. Here are the wedding details from Abhishek:

“It was a hands-on Indian wedding with all the bells and whistles. Meghan’s family and friends from the U.S. eagerly participated in all Indian wedding traditions, including stealing the groom’s shoes! The groom dutifully translated the vows from Hindi to English, with just a little bit of “lost in translation”– translating “the bride will not go to her parents house without the husband’s permission” as “we’ll go to your parents house together” which got a big laugh from those who understood.

The venue, the Fortune Park DJ Avenue was the perfect .The food was great. The lawns were well-manicured and beautiful and the decorations simple yet elegant. While the couple originally was worried about the Metro trains in the background, it turned out to be a perfect addition to the decor- an urban wedding for an urban couple.
