Bride and Groom: Aishwarya Potdar and Tushar Joshi
We met
We met at work in November 2014 when we started working together as colleagues
Our proposal…
With growing bond & deep friendship we got engaged in June 2016
Our wedding theme/colours…
Being Punekars by birth, Tushar and I had decided to have the traditional Puneri theme for all our wedding related events. I wore a dark green nauwari (9-yard Sari) while my husband draped a Sowla & pagdi to give an authentic touch to his traditional look.
Where did you shop for your bridal trousseau?
Puneri ladies are lucky to be blessed with a wide choice of wedding shops in the city. I bought sarees, nauwari & a ghagra in Pune itself.
My hair and make up
My makeup artist was Mrs. Madhuri Mirajkar.
His attire
Tushar’s three-piece suit for the reception was from BlackBerry while traditional attire was from shop in Laxmi road, Pune.
What our bridal party wore
All the lovely ladies were dressed in shalu while gents wore sherwanis
Our ceremony
Ours was a typical Maharashtian wedding including a Simaant pujan on 17th January in the evening & the main ceremony on 18th January, morning.
We chose our photographer…
I went through a post on Facebook from which I tried weddingsonlineIndia.
There I got the reference for Mr. Kaustubh Joshi. We were thoroughly impressed with his reviews & we immediately agreed to his package. He amazed us by clicking our prewedding pictures.
We chose our wedding coordinator because…
The wedding hall owners are the coordinators themselves. They are highly renowned for their management & quality of food.
We chose our venue because…
We got married at Suparna Sabhagruha, Pune as the hall location, management, services & catering is excellent.
Our menu
Menu included some mouth watering delicacies like hara bhara kababs, kothimbir wadi, SPDP, mutter paneer, chhole.. etc and to make our day sweeter we had desserts like modak & mango angoor malai…
Our honeymoon
Our honeymoon destination was Thailand as chosen by my husband. Having abundant natural beauty the place is great for sightseeing & relaxation. Fun water sports, animal safari & Thai spa massage were the highlights here. We booked our tour through Kesari tour operators. Being vegetarians we couldn’t try the regional food but you get amazing variety of very sweet fruits there. For shopping we went to Indira market in Bangkok.
My favourite part of the wedding day…
The entire day was my favourite but the most touching moment was when I was leaving the hall to enter my new house. Falling on the shoulders of all my family members & friends, getting emotional… I could hear my husband consoling my parents that they need not worry about their little daughter…
My piece of advice for other brides…
Take out time from your busy schedule to plan your wedding as is it is the biggest day of your life.
Try to make your husband your best friend. And also try and be happy and carefree on your wedding day as those are the essences that will make you look truly beautiful.
