Wedding planners and decorators have such a tough job. Sometimes their brides are clear about the particular theme they want for their D-day. In other cases, they need to step in and suggest ideas that may not always be accepted. In this particular wedding, our bride Neha was clear about one thing: bringing Rajasthani flavours into the ceremony. Thankfully, her chosen wedding suppliers got exactly what she wanted and the result was an exuberant and very stylish wedding ceremony that certainly had us swooning over!
Here are the details from the bride Neha….
Ceremony:
Venue: West River Event Center in Vaughan, ON
How they met: We met while studying for our MBA at the Rotman School of Management. We were introduced through a friend. We became friends and he asked me out for his birthday. When I declined, I offered to ‘make it up to him’ which he promptly took advantage of to get a home cooked meal out of me. After a delicious Mexican meal, he thanked me with a high-five instead of a kiss…and the rest is history 🙂

Theme: I didn’t really approach the wedding with a ‘theme’ in mind. I’ve always been really attracted to Rajasthani culture and regions like Jaipur and Udaipur and tried to bring that flavour to our wedding. That’s why I went with brighter, more vibrant colours like magenta and mango for me, and teal for Amit. And that’s why I chose the decorative motifs I did, and gave away those jaipuri elephant dolls. Soooooo….short story long, I guess if you had to give it a title, I’d call it Colours of Jaipur? (Or something like that…)
Reception:
Venue: Embassy Grand Convention Center in Brampton, On
Vendors: Same as above list
Theme : ‘Vintage Garden’ characterized by the mason jars, moss table runners. bird cages. and wooden logs.
