Stars descended at the 60th Filmfare 2015 awards and as usual we got to witness a striking aura of fashion, beauty and style. While the gowns worn by the ladies might not fit the traditional Indian bridal category; we can certainly get inspired by these ladies and gentlemen when it comes to dressing for the party season. To-be-brides and grooms can also mix things up in the beauty department and transform their looks for their pre and post wedding festivities courtesy of these celebs.
Presenting some of the best dressed ladies and gentlemen of the evening:
We start with some impressive Kanjeevarams and traditional Indian dresses.
Vidya Balan looked beautiful no doubt, but we are not fans of the sleeves she selected for the evening. Rekha and Manisha get full marks in our books for their stunning clutches and potlis-perfect wedding accessories, don’t you think? Newlywed Dia Mirza’s accessories, hairstyle and simple makeup give her an ethereal look.
Mint and Blush tones were popular for the night, though not as much as black. Kriti Sanon, who won the best debut award, looks classy and we are totally in love with her Gauri-Nainika designed mint gown. Shraddha Kapoor on the other hand proved herself a worthy ambassador for Gehna jewellers and we totally love her shimmering Cinderella gown as well.
As stated before, black seemed to be the colour of the evening as fashionista Sophie Chowdhary, Filmfare winner Tabu, and even the most Google searched Indian celeb Sunny ‘Hot’ Leone chose this for their gowns. Others who dazzled in black were Kalki (though we did not much like her odd dress), Illeana D’Cruz and Elli Avram who dazzled in an Ashley black gown, Chandelier earrings and jewels. Sonali Bendre and Madhuri Dixit Nene looked amazing-even better than some of the girls half their age!
Our heroes looked dapper as well-and we think Varun really stood out in his white suit with a red rose in the breast pocket. Shahid Kapoor who took home the Best Actor trophy also looks handsome and we love his bearded look.
