- The Botanical Gardens here is one of the best places to see the beauty of an extensive fauna collection which is only found in the Nilgiris. The Gardens were founded in 1848 and are believed to be home to a minimum of 1000 different species of fauna.
- If you’d like to visit a slightly more unusual spot, then the Thread Garden which comprises of many displays of flowers and plants that have all been made from thread should be on your list. If nothing else, the fact that this labour of love took 12 years to accomplish and is the work of at least 500 craftsmen is something worth commemorating.
- Ooty also offers plenty of culinary treats. From authentic Indian fare to western cuisine to some great non-veg grills, you’ll find plenty of small and big joints which offer hot delicious food all through the day.
