Bollywood weddings are usually grand affairs. The venues are extravagant and the guest list high profile. From designer wear to A-list chefs for food, no expense is spared. But the following couples gave this show and pomp a miss by having a low key wedding ceremony. The media was given only a glimpse of the couple through a brief photo-op or sometimes not even that. Rani-Aditya: It is reported that only 20 guests were present at Rani and Aditya’s super secret wedding in Italy. Some guests were unaware of the reason for their travel to Italy and only found out about the wedding when they reached the destination.

John-Priya: John married Priya Runchal in the US. He announced his wedding with his banker wife through twitter. This is John’s Twitter message: “Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed 2014! May this year bring you love, good fortune and joy. Love, John and Priya Abraham.”
Aftab-Nin: Aftab and his bride, Britain born model Nin Dusanj, walked the aisle on June 11, 2014. Kabir Bedi was the first to congratulate the couple and reveal the news of their wedding on Twitter: “Congratulations to Aftab Shivdasani and Nin Dusanj on their marriage!!! Wishing you joy and bliss!” Nin Dusang and Kabir Bedi’s girlfriend Parveen Dusang are sisters.

Minissha-Ryan: Minissha Lamba had a registered marriage with long-time boyfriend, Ryan Tham in Mumbai on July 6, 2015. This wedding was such a hush hush affair that nobody knew about it. It was only after actress Pooja Bedi congratulated the couple on Twitter and spilled the beans that the news of Minissha-Ryan wedding came to be known.
Madhuri-Shriram: Madhuri Dixit got married to US surgeon Dr. Shriram Nene in a secret ceremony with only close family in presence. It was only with the grand reception in Mumbai where the world came to know about it.

Kunal-Naina: One which could have been a grand affair was rather a secret – the wedding of Kunal Kapoor and Naina Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan’s neice, was held in Seychelles on February 9, 2015. Kunal Kapoor himself choose to disclose a few pictures much later. A grand reception was later held in Delhi.
Kim-Ali: It was news that took us all by surprise. After a brief stint in Bollywood Kim married Kenyan businessman Ali Punjani sometime in August 2010. The exact date is still a secret and so was the wedding ceremony. Not a soul from Bollywood was invited.

Shahid-Mira: They got married in Delhi on July 7, 2015. It was a low key wedding with close family and friends in attendance. Shahid later held a grand reception in Mumbai.
Manoj-Neha: Manoj married long time girlfriend Actress Neha in an intimate ceremony which even his parents could not attend. They got hitched in April 2006 and have a daughter named Ava Nayla.
