Real Destination Wedding: An Intimate Beach Wedding in Andaman&Nicobar Islands

By  |

When it comes to Indian destination wedding venues with a beach, Goa tops the charts. However, couples looking for a serene location that offers a variety of options such as hotel weddings, outdoor beach weddings or even a cruise wedding  might want to consider Andaman and Nicobar islands. This is precisely what Marisha and Neil, our featured couple in this week’s real wedding  series decided to opt for. The young couple resides in the United States and they were rather keen about one thing as far as their wedding was concerned: they wanted their guests to relax and enjoy the serene beach atmosphere as they took their vows amidst beautiful turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. This desire brought them to the Munjoh Ocean Resort in Havelock, Andaman.

Bride and Groom: Marisha and Neil, from Connecticut.

Wedding Venue: Munjoh Ocean Resort, Havelock Island in Andman and Nicobar.

Says photographer Navin about the couple: ” I was approached by Marisha back in January 2014 for their wedding photography. I was really blown away by this couple’s easy-going and friendly personalities. We also connected over the pre-wedding and wedding shoot.”

As opposed to a Big Fat Indian wedding, this wedding had only 11 guests including the bride and groom! Adds Navin here: “Yes! This happens in India too!”
