Kurta- Pyjamas: Kurta pyjamas are a staple in North Indian wear and it’s quite common to see men wear them especially on weekends and in the hot summer months. The beauty of the humble kurta pyjama is that it can be dressed up and dressed down according to the occasion and can look seriously stylish as a formal wear too, making this a much sought after Indian groom wedding wear. We’d suggest choosing an embroidered silk set or going with a fine cotton set with chikan embroidery. Embellishments on the collar and sleeve are eye-catching and for added glam, pair your kurta pyjama with contrast coloured footwear.

Kurta- Dhoti: Traditional South Indian weddings always feature the groom wearing a pure white dhoti along with a kurta or shirt. Dark shades are not permitted and any embroidery or design is kept to a minimum. The Kurta- Dhoti is not restricted to only Hindu weddings as Christian grooms too often wear cream coloured dhotis with cream or pale cream-gold silk kurtas for church weddings. Kurta- dhotis have also taken on a fashionable twist and snappier versions have been spotted on many celebrities at social parties.

Kurta- Churidar: Loose leggings may not be for everyone and that’s where a churidar bottom comes to the rescue. A very popular Indian groom wedding wear choice, a kurta- churidar set usually has a lot more intricate embroidery on it as well as crystal and stone work too. Moreover, the tight-fitting pants also work well for tall grooms. One can complete the look with matching mojiris, a long stole or with a pagadi of a bright shade.
