The Indian Wedding Planning Checklist

The wedding planning start as soon as the couple decides to join their life together in a bond and live happy life together. Though wedding planning is little stressful work to do, but the best way to plan an organized wedding is by following this Wedding Planning Checklist:

Prepare bride and grooms family mentally: It is very much necessary because for planning wedding there are many decisions which are taken with understanding of both bride and grooms families.

Start with Early stage planning (12-9 month before wedding):

Set and reserve your wedding and reception date, time and venue.
Plan a proper budget with mutual understanding and sharing budget by both families.
Work out properly and as per budget how many people you would like to invite for wedding.
Select design for your invitations and fix a date for its printing.
Announce you engagement and choose your engagement rings.
Arrange wedding license with registrar.
Decide your wedding theme.

Select your vendor for dresses and accessories, florist, photographers/ videographers, caterer, decorators, wedding transport, wedding band/DJ etc.
Consult religious officiant about wedding ceremony and ask for suggestion and recommendation for wedding.
Do a research so that your planning fits properly in your plan budget.
Plan your destination for honeymoon with your partner.

Getting down to things which are planned (8-3 months before wedding):

Finalise your guest list.
Reserve your venue for wedding.
Start sending invitation to your friends and relatives.
Book the appointment with the hairdresser as well as the make-up artist in advance.

Select your wedding suit/dress and start buying dress and accessories from dress designer for your family members.
Start buying gifts for relatives who are going to attend your wedding.
Place order for your wedding cake.
Meet caterers and fix you food menu for wedding day.
Purchase you wedding ring.
Book you wedding band/DJ, photographers/videographers for wedding day.
Make booking for destination place for honeymoon.

Getting ready for wedding ceremony ( 2 month – day before wedding):

Meet your all required vendors and finalizing your arrangements.
Taking trial of you wedding suit/dress, so that if you need changes in clothes you can do it from designer.
Reconfirm your venue for wedding day.
Start making payments to your vendors.
Reconfirm you guest list.
Finalise your wedding theme and ask florist and decorator to start their work on theme.
Make sure all arrangement are proper for wedding day.

Have a manicure/pedicure
Confirm wedding day transportation
Call the stylists to confirm hair and makeup appointments for the wedding day.
Stay calm, happy and relax so that you can enjoy your wedding day.

Wedding day

Feel happy and enjoy your day.
Have your make up and get dressed two hours before your wedding, so that you can give proper time for your photo-shoot.
Mostly important take a deep breath and enjoy your big day!
