Choose the right colour: What does the right shoe colour have to do with anything? Actually, it is quite important because the right wedding footwear colour would naturally enhance your outfit without looking out of place. For western wedding wear, shades like black, brown and maroon go quite well with almost all western suits. Leather undoubtedly has a natural shine to it and will last long while footwear made from other materials is cheaper.

Go with contrasts: You may not be able to pull off wedding footwear that contrasts with the colour of your wedding suit but your options are limitless when it comes to Indian wedding wear. Since jhootis and mojaris are available in so many styles, colours and designs, you have ample options at hand. If your sherwani has a mix of different coloured embellishments or embroidery running through it, choose one of the colours for your wedding footwear. Alternatively, if you are wearing a pastel coloured outfit, go with footwear of a darker shade like navy blue or maroon.

Take a second opinion: Chances are that you may like a pair of shoes or any other wedding footwear at first sight but you will know for sure only when you take a friend or sibling along. Taking a second opinion is always a good idea as it allows you to take a decision that much faster but don’t go overboard on taking people’s opinions either as that is only likely to confuse you further. If you’d like to share any comments or thoughts with us, we would love to hear from you.
